Everything has their knowledge. First we are born to this world, we’ve been learn. Learning to see (the new baby born just have close visibility between his/her mother breast), learning to sit, learning to walk, learning to speak, never stop learning until we death. Even when we are in our mother’s womb, we’ve learn; learning to suck, learning to grasp, learning to kick.

So, everyday in our life is learning, and everything has their knowledge. It’s our job to know what we do.

One day when I came to visit someone, I was surprise she give her 4 month son an orange fruit. I’ve read, that a baby start eating when they are 6 month, and I think it’s not an orange, but a soft food like avocado or banana. She also play old song for her son so he will get sleep, the song is keep playing, if it’s not, he’ll awake. Maybe it’s not a big deal, but I think murrotal is the best song for children. I never see she read hamdallah to her baby when he’s sneezing, or something like that, hmm maybe basmallah did, I don’t know. I read some mother story how they teach their children. There’s a mother that always read eating doa before feeding her child, even if her child is crying because so hungry “Allahumma bariklana wa kinna ‘adzabannar”. When her baby is getting older, he remember and never eat before saying that doa.

I see the other mother too, how she teach her children. One of her daughter had tell me about her savings. She said that her mother didn’t know she had a saving, and she doesn’t want her mother know it. Why? Because her mother will make she use her money, it’s for her daughter needs too but, I think that’s really bad education. She bought her daughter bag, or book, or shoes from her daughter savings. The daughter said that her mother said that why she kept the money, she don’t need anything to buy. Oh God, what kind of parent she is? She even not poor. But I see her life, maybe because she’s stingy than make she desiderate.

I also see the parents around me, makes me thinking, do something without knowledge will make us suffer. Starting on married, building a family, it has a knowledge. Planning a conception, it has a knowledge. Pregnant, it has a knowledge. Give birth, raising children, it has a knowledge. Don’t we want having a quality family? Or we just follow the tradition without know how to do it right?

Maybe this is why the first ayat is surah Al-’Alaq. Iqra; read!
