Purple Carrot

I just arrive from my adventure in traditional market today hihihi…

Today is market day (hari pakan). I still have dendeng at home and fish on my freezer, so I  just brought some money to buy vegetables and green bean. I bought broccoli, carrot, and leaf soup. I was planning to boiled them for lunch. When I went to Tamil shop to buy some green bean, I saw the new nutrijell, it’s purple, blueberry flavor. I read on the the script on the package that this jelly is contain with fruit and vegetable extract, grape, blueberry, purple cabbage, and purple carrot. Then I saw the pic of four of them. Waw.. Purple carrot, really? I never heard about them.

Then I googled it. Here they are

I told this to my brother, he said there’s no purple carrot. I showed him the picture, so he said that vegetables has been undergone hybridization. Purple carrot is weird, alien :lol: :lol: :lol:

Wheat

I wish wheat is become my country staple food. It doesn’t mean that I don’t like rice. And not just because I love bread more than rice, but the content of wheat is more than rice.

I heard about “Why much of Indonesia people are shorter?” And the answer is because we consume lots of carbohydrates than other nutrient like protein and fat. I don’t know.. Maybe this is right, because since I was little kid, I really fall in love with bread. I remember, I can cry when my mom told me to eat my dinner :lol:

Also, I love potato too. My grandma told to my mom, “do not give her potato, it could make she tall” :lol: I don’t know what she was right or not. Now, here I’m.. I’m 68.11 inch. For Indonesia women, especially in my town, I’m classified a tall women :D But almost all of my family are tall, but I’m the taller :D also beautiful :lol:

Here’s the comparison data I found, but I included potatoes and sweet corn too.

As you can see, maybe wheat is less energy than rice but the other content of wheat is more that rice, even sweet corn and potato. The folate is high, 70% of  our Nutritional Adequacy Rate (in Indonesian: AKG). I think it’s very good for pregnant women.

I know there’s a wheat flour (terigu) for making a bread, but I see it’s not enough wheat. If wheat flour full of wheat, why does there is just “bread” and “wheat bread”? And the color of bread isn’t same between their both. The sadness part, I can’t find wheat bread here, at town where I live :(

There’s cereal made by wheat, but I don’t like it. I prefer to bread and cake than cereal :(

Kue Sus

Kemarin saya buat kue sus. Awalnya dari – wah panjang cerita awalnya – singkat cerita mama yang lagi beres-beres kamar belakang menemukan koleksi resep-resep masakannya, kemudian menanyakan pada saya dimana sisa koleksinya yang lain (di rumah ini hampir setiap ada barang yang hilang nanyanya sama saya, karena saya suka bongkar-bongkar dan beres-beres – kalau lagi rajin)

Jadilah hari itu kami bertiga (saya, mama, dan adik) melihat-lihat resep-resep masakan. Adik saya sedang terobsesi dengan resep masakan dari cumi-cumi.. Soalnya kalau di touco udah keseringan, kalau di goreng meletus-letus mengerikan. Dan saya teringat dengan kue sus.

Sudah beberapa kali mencoba buat kue sus gagal terus, kue sus nya jadi sih, tapi.. agak aneh hi hi hi.. Kulitnya nggak kembang seperti yang diharapkan. Hari itu pengen nyoba lagi, tapi dimodifikasi pengen ditambahin coklat bubuk atau pasta pandan – terinspirasi dari Farah Quinn yang di Ala Chef. Setelah ketemu resep sus (ada 12 macam), ee karena fokusnya dengan tu resep, akhirnya lupa niat pakai bubuk coklatnya.. Hi hi hi.. Kali ini kue sus-nya lumayan sukses meskipun pas buat vla-nya salah masukin telur, harusnya cuma kuningnya aja, eee termasuk semuanya. Bukan nggak sengaja, tapi nggak baca ptunjuknya dulu.

Sebelum buat vla, saya minta tolong adik belikan telur di warung. Karena kesalahan tadi dengan mata sayu akhirnya adik saya balik lagi ke warung beli telur. Karena takut salah lagi dilebihkannya telur 2 lagi buat cadangan. hi hi hi.. Vla-nya agak kuat rasa susunya, tapi adik saya bilang enak :) . Dan lebih enak lagi rasanya setelah keesokan harinya saat kuenya udah dikerubungi semut dan tinggal 2.

Brownas..

Aha ha ha.. For the first time made brownies, it’s not brownies, but brownas.. It’s smashed :D

But it’s ok, I’ll try again next time. Hmm.. I was counted the capital is about 25 thousand Rupiah..

The instruction said, After melting the butter and chocolate, enter sugar, mix till the sugar melted.

Eits.. It’s not melted! Mom said, sugar cannot melted in oil. It must mixing with eggs.

Anyone who wrote the rescipe, did you really want your reader makes a good and delicious brownies, or not?

Or… maybe He/She wants to say this: “Congratulation to be creative and never give up” (be positif)

Aha ha ha.. Untuk pertama x nya bikin brownies, eh jadinya brownas.. =P ancur :D

Gpp, besok dicoba lagi. Hmm.. tadi di itung-itung modalnya  kira-kira 25rb..

Kan mentega dilelehin sama coklat blok, trus petunjuknya bilang: “Masukkan gula, aduk sampai gulanya lumer”

Waduh…, g lumer-lumer. Kata mama, kalau gula dimasukin ke minyak gak mau lumer. Kayaknya harus dikocok bersama telur. [mata sayu]

Duh duh.. yang nulis buku masakannya niat ngasi resep g si.. Kok jahat x.. T-T

Waah mungkin kata orang yang nulis : “Selamat menjadi kreatif and never give up!” (positif thinking)
