Purple Carrot

I just arrive from my adventure in traditional market today hihihi…

Today is market day (hari pakan). I still have dendeng at home and fish on my freezer, so Iย  just brought some money to buy vegetables and green bean. I bought broccoli, carrot, and leaf soup. I was planning to boiled them for lunch. When I went to Tamil shop to buy some green bean, I saw the new nutrijell, it’s purple, blueberry flavor. I read on the the script on the package that this jelly is contain with fruit and vegetable extract, grape, blueberry, purple cabbage, and purple carrot. Then I saw the pic of four of them. Waw.. Purple carrot, really? I never heard about them.

Then I googled it. Here they are

I told this to my brother, he said there’s no purple carrot. I showed him the picture, so he said that vegetables has been undergone hybridization. Purple carrot is weird, alien ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

Wheat

I wish wheat is become my country staple food. It doesn’t mean that I don’t like rice. And not just because I love bread more than rice, but the content of wheat is more than rice.

I heard about “Why much of Indonesia people are shorter?” And the answer is because we consume lots of carbohydrates than other nutrient like protein and fat. I don’t know.. Maybe this is right, because since I was little kid, I really fall in love with bread. I remember, I can cry when my mom told me to eat my dinner ๐Ÿ˜†

Also, I love potato too. My grandma told to my mom, “do not give her potato, it could make she tall” ๐Ÿ˜† I don’t know what she was right or not. Now, here I’m.. I’m 68.11 inch. For Indonesia women, especially in my town, I’m classified a tall women ๐Ÿ˜€ But almost all of my family are tall, but I’m the taller ๐Ÿ˜€ also beautiful ๐Ÿ˜†

Here’s the comparison data I found, but I included potatoes and sweet corn too.

As you can see, maybe wheat is less energy than rice but the other content of wheat is more that rice, even sweet corn and potato. The folate is high, 70% ofย  our Nutritional Adequacy Rate (in Indonesian: AKG). I think it’s very good for pregnant women.

I know there’s a wheat flour (terigu) for making a bread, but I see it’s not enough wheat. If wheat flour full of wheat, why does there is just “bread” and “wheat bread”? And the color of bread isn’t same between their both. The sadness part, I can’t find wheat bread here, at town where I live ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

There’s cereal made by wheat, but I don’t like it. I prefer to bread and cake than cereal ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Banana.. Banana..

Heyy.. Who likes banana? The yellow fruit? Hmm.. Yummy..

Me.. Me..

There’s so much benefit of banana.. Actually, I’m not really care about what contain on it, but without knowing the contain we don’t know why it’s benefit, right? Banana contains with three type of sugar-sukrosa, fruktosa, and glukosa-and fiber, that’s make banana useful for energy and absorption. Banana contain of triptofan, protein that will be change by body become seretonin, this is makes us feel relax, omit depresion, and makes us feel happy, like this ๐Ÿ˜€ Banana contain of iron substance, for anemia. Banana rich in potasium, the mineral that important for normally our heart tapping, sending oxigen to our brain, and manage balance of water in our body. So, the function of potasium here is to decrease the risk of blood pressure and stroke, omit stress, and it’s good for accompany us when study. Vitamin B6, B12, potasium, and magnesium that contain in banana help people stop their smoke habbit.

That’s it.. ๐Ÿ˜€

Hayoo.. siapa yang suka pisang?

Saya.. saya..

(apalagi kalau dah jadi kuning kecoklatan kaya gambar diatas.. Ondeh mandeh ngiler saya)

Pisang tu banyak manfaatnya lo.. Sebenarnya me gak terlalu peduli dengan apa yang dikandung sama pisang. Tapi, tanpa tau kandungan kita jadi g tau kenapa bermanfaat kan? Naah.., Pisang mengandung tiga macam gula alami-sukrosa, fruktosa, dan glukosa- dan serat, karena itu pisang menjadi sumber energi dan membantu buang air besar. Pisang mengandung triptofan, protein yang akan diubah oleh tubuh menjadi serotonin, zat ini akan membuat kita menjadi merasa santai, ngilangin depresi, dan bisa buat kita jadi lebih gembira, kaya gini: ๐Ÿ˜€ Pisang mengandung zat besi, zat besi ini untuk orang yang anemia. Pisang kaya dengan potasium, mineral yang penting untuk membantu menormalkan detak jantung, mengirim oksigen ke otak, dan mengatur keseimbangan air dalam tubuh. Jadi fungsi potasium disini, bisa untuk mengurangi resiko tekanan darah dan stroke, menghilangkan stress, bagus untuk mendampingi kita saat belajar. Vitamin B6, B12, potasium dan magnesium yang ada dalam pisang membantu kita, eh bukan, orang yang merokok untuk menghentikan ketergantungan terhadap nikotin.

Before Breakfast or After Breakfast??

I don’t know much in foreign country, but in Indonesia, there’s a habit that every morning after we are wake up first thing we do are brush our teeth. But it’s not work for me and my family.. we are submit to concept that brush the teeth is does after breakfast. Cuz if we eat our breakfast after brush our teeth, they could have dirty again. Who is agree with me?? The dentist, I think ๐Ÿ˜€

I read an article this morning, it’s about the effort to take care our teeth keep healty. It says, there are several food we need to avoid, they are the sweet food, softdrink and alcohol, cigarette, bread (it’s not exacly the breads wrong, but we used to eat bread with jam, chocolate, or sugar, that are the source of problem), the sour food (like unripe manggo, or mpek-mpek that containing with vinegar, and also martabak mesir), hard food and extreme temperature (too cold or too hot), high fluor food.

The disease in our teeth is begin from plaque, plaque is appear from food residue that settle at layer of teeth, then they are interacted with the bacteria in our mouth. The damage of our teeth that have came to nerve system could make the other disease, because the nerve system and blood artery are connected to whole body, so the bacteria could appear an infection to the organ vital like heart, kidney, and brain.

The sense of nerve on teeth could be die. It could make the hollow tooth doesn’t paintful anymore. Then the bacteria enter the nerve system and blood artery on teeth, and they are assemble there, and it could make much of disease.

Me nggak tau bagaimana di luar negeri, tapi di Indonesia, ada satu kebiasaan, setiap kita bangun pagi kita menggosok gigi. Tapi, di keluarga Me, kami menggosok gigi setelah sarapan pagi, karena kalau gosok giginya sebelum makan (pas bangun tidur), nnt setelah selesai makan giginya jadi kotor lagi dong.. Siapa yang setuju dengan Me?? Dokter gigi!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Me baca artikel pagi ini, tentang “Upaya Menjaga Gigi Tetap Sehat”. Disana dibilang, ada beberapa makanan pembuat gigi kita rusak, makanan yang harus kita hindari, yaitu: makanan serba manis; softdrink dan alkohol; rokok; roti (naaah, sebenarnya bukan rotinya yang jadi masalah, tapi pasangannya kayak selai, coklat, gula); makanan serba asam seperti jeruk asam, mangga muda (mungkin ini ya kenapa ibu hamil tu giginya jadi rusak? Me pernah denger cerita kalau pas hamil bayinya ngambil kalsium dari giginya ibu, ternyata…), makanan yang mengandung cuka kayak mpek-mpek, martabak mesir; makanan yang keras dan suhu ekstrem (terlalu dingin atau terlalu panas); makanan yang berfluor tinggi.

Penyakit yang menyerang gigi dimulai dari plak. Plak timbul dari sisa makanan yang mengendap pada lapisan gigi, dan mereka berinteraksi dengan bakteri yang ada di mulut. Kerusakan pada gigi yang sudah sampai pada sistem saraf bisa menimbulkan penyakit yang lain, karena sistem saraf dan pembuluh darah kita menyambung di seluruh tubuh, jadi bakteri bisa menimbulkan infeksi pada organ vital seperti jantung, ginjal, dan otak.

Saraf perasa pada gigi juga bisa mati lo, sehingga gigi yang berlubang nggak terasa sakit lagi. Kemudian bakteri bisa masuk ke dalam sistem saraf dan pembuluh darah dalam gigi dan ini akan menjadi sarang bagi bakteri dan akan menimbulkan berbagai penyakit.

Ini, ada sedikit komentar dari Me ๐Ÿ˜€ (he he) : Kalau menurut Me siii, makanan2 yang tersebut diatas tu, ndak perlu di hindari lagi.. cuma jangan berlebihan aja, trus nanti siap makannya langsung gosok gigi.
